About the Education Foundation

What is the Fremont Education Foundation?  What is the mission of the organization?

The Fremont School District 79 Education Foundation (FEF) is a 501 (c) (3) organization (not-for-profit), incorporated in the state of Illinois for educational, charitable, literacy, and scientific research purposes.

The mission of the Fremont Education Foundation is to offer programs and funding for unique and innovative learning opportunities that challenge district students, faculty, and administration.

What does the Fremont Education Foundation do?  Why does it exist?

The Foundation works to raise money through donations, fundraisers, grants, corporate sponsorships, and more.  This money is then used to fund innovative projects, teacher grants, projects which are used to provide innovative learning opportunities for students

Who are the trustees of the Fremont Education Foundation?

The trustees are volunteers dedicated to furthering the mission of the Foundation. Trustees are made up of parents and community members.

The 2010 Golf Outing, Dinner & Live Auction

On Monday, May 3, 2010, the Fremont Education Foundation, (F.E.F.), celebrated its 10th Annual Golf Outing, Dinner and Auction. Tireless volunteers, abundant charitable contributions, charming friends, great weather and good food helped make the 10th annual event the most successful fundraisers of the Foundation. Over 120 people participated in some portion of the event filled with golf, dinner and both live and silent auctions.

The Foundation was able to capitalize on the generous support of many community attendees and donators who helped build momentum for the Foundation’s mission of supporting unique and innovative educational opportunities. The day’s events brought in over $35,000 in potential grant funds. This was the highest amount brought in by the event, nearly double that of years’ past. Much of the growth is attributed to corporations matching donor’s funds.   Read More…
